- The Before: What was the challenge, issue or problem your organization was facing? Or, what was the opportunity you were not able to take advantage of before you put a technology solution in place?
- Answer: We've been licensed for over 35 years and placed over 1,000 children in families. We needed an organizational system to manage this, both in country and here in the US so that we could spend more time on the children and their families and NOT on redundant paperwork. And we needed a way to communicate effectively with prospective families that was compelling and cost efficent.

- What Microsoft software have you used/are you using in your organization to more effectively engage your beneficiaries, donors and/or volunteers and/or to make a difference in your community?
- Answer: Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 (Includes any of the following: Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, OneNote, Outlook, and Word)

- The After: How have these Microsoft products allowed you to engage your stakeholders more efficiently or effectively to make a difference in your community?
- Answer: With over 2,000 case files open we could not have managed this on our limited staff, without microsoft office. Mircosoft power point is used daily to keep us organized, allows families to send us documents and we can communicate with our foreign offices all through microsoft - thanks!

- What about these products (the features or the way you used them) made them particularly helpful in enabling your organization to expand and improve upon its community impact?
- Answer: The microsoft technology has allowed us to manage of families cases on line from all over the world securely. We spend less time thumbing through paper and more time improving our child/fmaily service levels and have also devloped fundraising support for those children left behind that are not adoptable.

- Please provide any examples, stories or data that illustrate the difference the use of Microsoft software has enabled you to make (i.e., # of new clients reached, new program added, increased dollars raised, increased volunteers, etc.
- Answer: We now have over 2,000 children in 10 countries worldwide. We use microspot in all aspect of the adoption process from the beginning steps to follow up once home. We could not have managed this on our limited staff, without microsoft office. Mircosoft power point is used daily for parent and staff education, and powerpoint and publisher are used as tools to inform prospective families and we now have touched over 65 students with our INTERNS partnershuip with WWU that will keep the mission of international adoption alive in the years to come.
