Describe your creative piece – what is it and what has it been used for, and why is it innovative?
This is our new display board that was designed by a volunteer who had never used In-Design. It tool her only a few weeks to learn the software and then she created this beautiful 4-panel display. This display is used at all of our outreach events and is a permanent fixture in our office. It is a great way to tell our story to folks in a few words alongside great photos. This is a perfect example of a user-friendly software package that any nonprofit can benefit from while engaging new volunteers in the work of the organization's mission.
What issue or problem were you working to address with this piece?
The land trust's mission is to conserve the lands that sustain the communities of the Olympic Peninsula. Part of this mission is reaching new members and getting support from the citizens on the peninsula. This display board is an easy-to-read, clear and concise description of the work we do here on the peninsula and why it is important to the average person living, visiting, working and playing here. This display board is simply a perfect advertisement for the land trust.
How has your submission successfully impacted your organization’s ability to solve this issue/problem?
We have gone from an "cut and paste" display board that was not easy to follow to this professional presentation of the land trust's work. The display board is easily transported to all of our outreach events. Without the donation of In-Design by Adobe, we would not have had the technical capacity to produce such a quality product.
