Mission, Southern Star MinPin Rescue’s primary mission is to provide a safe haven to minpins who are at risk of euthanasia by providing short and long-term foster care, health care, breed education, sterilization, rehabilitation, and ultimately a suitable forever loving home.

- Southern Star MinPin Rescue with volunteers in over 12 states has helped hundred plus Miniature Pinschers every year in US from being euthanized. Southern Star MinPin Rescue, Inc. (SSMPR) is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of Miniature Pinschers (minpins) of all ages. Upon entering our care, each minpin is evaluated for general health and updated on vaccinations. After the Miniature Pinscher is restored to good physical and emotional health and spayed or neutered the search begins for the best and most appropriate home. We have our core website www.ssmpr.org made with Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 and pictures done with Adobe Photoshop CS2 from Techsoup. Most of our forms and news letters are in PDF format through Acrobat. We drive social change through education from our website. Many new owners get a cute minpin puppie that later grows up to something they were not prepared for so they dump the dog. Usually the minpin ends up at shelters or with rescue.
